ABOUT US
We Protect What Australia Depends On
DEPLOY Subsea was established in 2012 by Julian Clohissey, with a sole focus – remediation of deteriorating marine infrastructure. With a real need to examine the processes and techniques to safely and successfully remediate steel, timber and concrete in the Australian marine environment.
Deploy Subsea is totally committed to providing its clients the highest quality subsea services in the safest possible manner, through transparent communication, in all company activities. We do it right and we do it safely, every time!
We are committed to five core principals in our business;
Safety
By investing in ongoing training for our elite welding and inspection Divers and Rope Access technicians and adopting the policies of ISO 9001 to provide a consistent and non-negotiable level of quality in every aspect of our work.
Quality
By adopting ISO 45001 the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OH&S MS) to create and maintain mandatory health and safety rules for all our personnel and all others contributing to our workplace, anywhere.
Integrity
By building on the relationships we have spent many years developing with our core clients.
Transparency
By developing and maintaining our quality, safety and environmental management systems to promote client confidence and allow for clear internal communication.
Communication
By implementing a documented system whereby there is always an open line of communication between our clients and our personnel.

Underwater Welding
Deploy Subsea specialises in underwater welding. Our key personnel are qualified Boilermakers, Coded Welders to AS/NZS 1554.1, ASME IX 6G and Coded Underwater Welders to AWS D 3.6M: 2017.
Confident pre-qualification can accurately determine the consumables
costs, quality, strength and time consumption for any procedure.
We can provide advice on a variety of underwater welding applications and can provide a project management team to run wet welding projects or to support the project with additional qualified personnel.

Marine Asset Remediation
Marine infrastructure remediation refers to the process of repairing, restoring, or improving marine structures—such as structural piles, piers, seawalls, wharves, jetties, and offshore platforms—that have deteriorated due to age, corrosion, environmental conditions, or damage.
The goal is to extend the service life of these structures, ensure safety, and maintain their functionality. Remediation techniques may include:
Asset Integrity Inspections:
Regular inspections are crucial to identify potential problems early on. This may involve non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess the condition of concrete, steel, and other materials without causing damage.
Concrete Repair and Restoration:
Marine environments can cause significant concrete deterioration. Remediation involves patching, strengthening, or even replacing damaged concrete elements.
Structural Remediation:
This can include repairs to steel beams, soffits, and other structural components to ensure the overall stability and load-bearing capacity of the structure.
Corrosion Protection:
Corrosion is a major threat to marine infrastructure. Cathodic protection systems and high-performance coatings are often used to mitigate corrosion and extend the lifespan of metal components.
Pile Repair and Protection:
Piles, which support wharves and other structures, can be vulnerable to damage from marine borers, corrosion, and impact. Remediation may involve cleaning, repairing, or replacing damaged piles.
Fender Repairs and Upgrades:
Fenders protect structures from the impact of ships. Damaged fenders need to be repaired or replaced to prevent further damage to the structure.
Tidal and Subsea Services:
Many remediation tasks, like pile repairs, coating application, and inspection, need to be performed underwater. Specialized equipment and techniques are often required for these tasks.
Abrasive Blasting and Surface Preparation:
Before applying protective coatings, surfaces need to be properly prepared through abrasive blasting or other methods to ensure good adhesion.

Underwater Cutting
We use a range of underwater cutting tooling and techniques on steel, concrete and timber structures.
Our range of cutting tooling includes:
-
B3 Hydrogen cutting torch
-
BROCO Ultrathermic
-
Hydraulic chainsaw and circular saw
-
Subsea chopsaw

Hydraulic Chainsaw
-
Hydraulic Diamond Wire

Subsea Inspection
Inspection and NDT comprises a range of non-invasive technologies and techniques to determine the integrity of a material, component or structure; or quantitatively measure some characteristic of an object.
Because it does not harm, stress or destroy the test object, Inspection and NDT plays a crucial role in ensuring cost-effective operations, safety and reliability which are important factors for shipping, the marine construction and oil & gas industries.
